It is important to note however, that this type of fire could occur at any point in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may ask yourself; how can a small mirror start set something alight? Fires caused by the reflection\/magnification of glass typically occur when glass items are left on window sills (particularly in the bathroom) or are facing the sun and ignite nearby \u2018combustible items\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examples of household glass items:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mirrors, magnifying mirrors in particular<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glass ornaments including paper weights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jewellery and stones<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examples of household combustible items:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aerosols, deodorant and other flammable materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cloths<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paper, wood<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though household fires occurring this way are not fatal, it is still a stressful time and many personal items can be lost.
